The most comprehensive protection against Infrared (IR) radiation, Blue light and UV rays – Everyday, Everywhere, All In One Lens!
OVERVIEW
WHAT IS INFRARED?
Infrared (IR) light, also known as infrared radiation is one type of light outside the visible range. You cannot see this light but you can feel its heat.
The majority of Infrared radiation is emitted from the sun, but man-made devices also contribute to its proliferation. It is estimated that more than half (54%) of the sun’s radiation is infrared, whereas about 39% is the visible light and the remaining 7% is the ultraviolet rays. Lenses that block UV400nm only protect us from 7% of harmful UV rays, whereas lenses that block UV420nm provide more protection from UV rays and harmful blue light. However, we remain unprotected from more than half of the sun’s IR radiation.
INFRARED (IR) LIGHT DAMAGING EFFECTS ON EYES
All infrared, visible or ultraviolet electromagnetic radiation can cause injury to the eye in sufficient concentrations. It is important to take precautions, because infrared light is invisible, meaning your eyes won’t take the protective measures like blinking or closing when a high-intensity beam of infrared radiation shines into them. In extreme cases, if the eyes absorb too much infrared light, they can be irreversibly damaged.
Eyelid - The skin around our eye is far more delicate than the rest of your face. It was previously thought that only ultra-violet light damages the skin. However it is now known that the longer wavelengths of near-infra-red (IR-A) radiation also damage the skin, and affect the delicate skin of the eyelids. IR thermal injury may have significant biological effects on the human skin. The near IR-A rays induce free radicals in the dermis and diminish the skin’s antioxidant capacity, the main cause of premature skin aging, causing a range of reactions from mild reddening, wrinkle, stain to eventual cell-death of the skin.
UNIQUE FEATURES
It’s important to know that more than half 54% of the sun’s radiation is infrared. Infrared (IR) also come from a lot of places, i.e. your toaster & mobile emit IR, 95% of the energy produced by fluorescent bulbs is translated into IR. In some ways, you could consider IR a natural byproduct of heat production and IR radiation can be hazardous to our eyes. This has raise awareness that we need protection from more than the sun’s UV rays and harmful blue light.
UV INFRA – a clear lens designed to provide comprehensive protection by blocking Infrared as well as harmful UV blue light.
1) Infrared (IR) Protect (780nm)
2) Blue Protect (420nm)
3) Full UV Protection (400nm)
WEARER’S BENEFITS
STAY AWAY FROM BURNING SENSATION IN THE EYE, CATARACT AND OTHER EYE DISEASES.
Exposure to IR radiation may cause the corneal opacity, burns on the retina, miosis, breakdown of blood–aqueous barrier and delayed cataract.
UV INFRA lens reduce IR to reach the retina, protect eyes from burning. On top of that, UV INFRA is highly resistance against IR pass through iris and lens, reduces chances of cataract and other eye diseases i.e. redness of the eye, swelling, or hemorrhaging.
KEEP YOUR EYE SAFE IN THE DIGITAL AGE
Infrared (IR) radiation is becoming more popular in industrial manufacturing processes and in many digital gadgets. New mobile phone uses infrared light to verify your identity, whereas blue light from computer screen and digital devices can harm your vision as well.
UV INFRA lens absorbs these harmful IR & blue light in to the material; provide excellent protection to keep your eyes safe in the digital age.
SLOW AGING, WRINKLES AND FINE LINES AROUND YOUR EYES NATURALLY
UV and IR radiation break down the collagen in your skin, which causes stain and wrinkles around your eyes. Aside from this, squinting can also form grooves that lead to wrinkles.
UV INFRA lens designed to provide full UV rays protection and reduce IR radiations. In addition, UV INFRA lens enhances visual acuity aesthetically and comfortably, reduces squinting and fatigue to your eyes, thus reduces wrinkles and prevents new ones from appearing.
